Tina Schroeder Obituary, Death; One Dead in Early-Morning House Fire in Comanche, Texas

Comanche, TX — A tragic house fire claimed the life of 61-year-old Tina Schroeder early Monday morning, while her children escaped unharmed.

The fire broke out shortly before 6:15 a.m. on January 26 in the 400 block of North Austin Street. Responding crews arrived to find smoke billowing from the home and immediately began rescue efforts. Thanks to quick action, the children inside the residence were able to get out safely.

Despite the swift response, Schroeder was found deceased inside the home. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of her death.

The Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office is leading the investigation into the cause of the fire, working closely with the Comanche Police Department. Multiple local agencies assisted at the scene, including the Comanche Volunteer Fire Department, Proctor and De Leon Volunteer Fire Departments, Comanche County EMS, Comanche County Sheriff’s Office, and Comanche County Emergency Management.

Officials have not indicated whether foul play is suspected and have urged anyone with information about the fire to contact authorities.
