Skokie, IL — The family of Lars Donald Anderson has announced his passing on January 26, 2026. He was 56 years old and is remembered by loved ones for his warm spirit and deep commitment to family.

Born on January 15, 1970, Lars grew up surrounded by family and went on to build a life defined by love, loyalty, and generosity. He was cherished by his children — Emily, Ayden (Lars), and Trystan — as well as his parents, Kristy and Don Anderson (Ellie), and his siblings Ingrid Luse (Brad), Erick Anderson (Hilary), Kurt Anderson (Jennifer), Jesus, and Kaarin Anderson. He also held a special place in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Lars’s life was celebrated for the joy he brought to those around him. Whether sharing stories with family, supporting friends, or lending a helping hand in his community, his presence made a lasting impact. He is also reunited in spirit with loved ones who preceded him in death, including his sister Kaarin and his grandparents.

Family, friends, and community members are invited to honor Lars’s memory at a visitation to be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, located at 10045 Skokie Boulevard in Skokie, Illinois. A funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Glenview, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, the family has invited friends and well‑wishers to consider making donations in Lars’s name to support his children during this time of loss, as well as to the Special Education Department at Glenbrook South High School — a cause close to his heart.

Lars Donald Anderson’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created with family and friends.
